Looking beyond what happened to understand what it means.

Analysis is where The Peachland Gazette examines important issues in greater depth. We look beyond announcements, headlines and individual decisions to consider the evidence, background, assumptions and consequences that may not be immediately apparent.

This may involve comparing documents, following decisions over time, examining financial or policy implications, testing claims against the public record, or identifying connections between issues that are otherwise reported separately.

Analysis is different from opinion. Its purpose is not to argue for a preferred outcome, but to examine the available evidence carefully and explain what that evidence may tell us.

The facts establish the record. Analysis helps us understand the story the record is telling.
